Re-establishing the Tri-state Lincoln Heritage Trail

During the early 1960's, shortly after the Lincoln Sesquicentennial commemoration of 1959, the three states of Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky partnered to create the original Lincoln Heritage Trail. Today, the three states are again working together to establish a combined tourism itinerary, showcasing the history of Lincoln's rise and his family's westward migration.
